Community Guidelines
Effective date: April 19, 2026
Bashertz is built for people serious about meeting a life partner. These guidelines keep it that way. Following them is a condition of using the Service.
Be honest
- Use real, recent photos of yourself. No group photos as your main photo.
- Use your real name.
- Accurately represent your denomination, halachic status, marital status, and life situation.
Be kind
- No harassment, hate speech, slurs, or discrimination.
- No unsolicited sexual content or solicitation.
- Respect a no. If someone doesn't reply or unmatches you, move on. Don't create new accounts to reach them.
Be a mensch
- No scams, catfishing, pyramid schemes, or commercial solicitation.
- No asking for money, gift cards, or investment in a business.
- If you're married and looking for an affair, this isn't the app for you.
Safety
- Meet in public places the first few times.
- Tell a friend where you'll be.
- Don't share home address, financial info, or government ID with other users.
